The Secretary General provides strategic coordination and organizational leadership for GCEB and facilitates the Conference’s global relationships, programs, publications, humanitarian initiatives, and international convenings.
The office is focused on building GCEB as a credible global platform where bishops can engage one another around substantive humanitarian and strategic concerns.

No. Participating bishops retain their own ecclesial authority, governance, jurisdiction, and organizational identity.

WHAT DOES GCEB PRODUCE?
Among its potential outcomes are strategic position papers, global briefs, conference reports, research resources, collaborative initiatives, and humanitarian partnerships.
WHY ARE POSITION PAPERS IMPORTANT?
They allow the perspectives and experiences of bishops participating in GCEB to be documented and shared with appropriate audiences beyond the Conference.
